Save a file

Save a new file or another copy of an existing file

> To save a file

  1. Switch to the source window.
  2. From the File menu, choose Save.
  3. If you already named the file, the Save command saves changes without displaying the Save As dialog box.

    If your file is unnamed, the Save As dialog box appears.

  4. In the File name box, type the filename.
  5. Select the drive and directory where you want to save the file.
  6. Click Save.
